Mexican Red Rump Tarantula (Tliltocatl vagans) – part of the genus split from Brachypelma in 2019: a placid, hardy, dry-leaning New World terrestrial that grows noticeably faster than true Brachypelma. Adults reach about 5-6.5 inches across; females are long-lived (15-25 years). Care basics: dry-leaning substrate with a water dish (keep one corner lightly moist), substrate deep enough to start a burrow, expect medium growth.
