1 LB Silkworm Chow Cooked Ready to Feed (16oz)

Ready to feed silkworm chow ships in one 16 oz cup ~1 lb by weight. Alternative to fresh mulberry leaves, silkworm chow offers a complete mulberry leaf based diet blend for year-round use. Ready to feed immediately, cooked fresh to order (silkworm chow will grate easiest if chilled before first use but not required). Using our silkworm food grater; newly hatched silkworm eggs require the fine grate size, small-medium-large silkworms require the large grate size. Lightly cover over top the silkworms with chow, grating the food directly over the silkworms will not kill them. Allow time for chow to be eaten and dry out in between feedings to avoid mold. (Grow faster feed every 24 hours, slower feed every 48 hrs.) Silkworms will only eat fresh chow; they cannot eat dried out chow.

1/2 LB Powdered Silkworm Food (Mulberry Leaf Diet) Silkworm Chow

The mulberry based silkworm food/chow is a replacement to fresh mulberry leaves. Silkworms have very specific food requirements and will only eat fresh mulberry leaves or our food. Powdered mulberry food is a “just add water” mix that can be cooked up in 5 minutes using a microwave. All dry food comes with detailed cooking instructions on the label. Once the silkworm chow is ready to feed, a thin layer of food is grated over the top of the worms. The silkworms will immediately crawl to the top and chow down on the food. Cooked food will stay fresh for a month in the refrigerator after cooking up. See care products for our silkworm food graders. Our food will allow you to keep silkworm’s year around to feed your treasured pets. The food contains everything a silkworm needs to sustain life and go through its life cycle. 1/2 lb dry food will make 2 lbs of wet food. You will need 1-2 lbs of powdered food per 1000 small silkworms to grow them to cocoon. Cooked food can be stored under refrigeration for one month, and sealed powdered food packets can be stored for 2 year.
