Bestbait Butterworms, Butter Worms, Tebo Moth Larvae Bestbait Butterworms are the larval stage of a Trevo or Tebo Moth. We import over 9 million butterworms a year directly from Chile. Butterworms are an excellent live bait but are also desired for pet feeders because of their high calcium and low fat ratio. Bestbait Butterworms typically measure 1/2 – 1 1/2″ in length. They are a orange-yellow color and have a slightly oily feeling. They smell sweet and this is why they are called Butterworms. Bestbait Regular Butterworms are 1/2 ” – 1 1/8″ in length. Bestbait Jumbo Butterworms are 1″ – 1 3/4″ in length. Bestbait Butterworms are packaged in wheat bran which is used as bedding only.

The mulberry based silkworm food/chow is a replacement to fresh mulberry leaves. Silkworms have very specific food requirements and will only eat fresh mulberry leaves or our food. Powdered mulberry food is a “just add water” mix that can be cooked up in 5 minutes using a microwave. All dry food comes with detailed cooking instructions on the label. Once the silkworm chow is ready to feed, a thin layer of food is grated over the top of the worms. The silkworms will immediately crawl to the top and chow down on the food. Cooked food will stay fresh for a month in the refrigerator after cooking up. See care products for our silkworm food graders. Our food will allow you to keep silkworm’s year around to feed your treasured pets. The food contains everything a silkworm needs to sustain life and go through its life cycle. 1/2 lb dry food will make 2 lbs of wet food. You will need 1-2 lbs of powdered food per 1000 small silkworms to grow them to cocoon. Cooked food can be stored under refrigeration for one month, and sealed powdered food packets can be stored for 2 year.
